Thw, but you already know it’s an HEA. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. So, here’s the reality: I was in love with these characters from their introduction. The problem I had was in believing that two boys like this, unfettered by religion, would be so totally un-self-aware. They’re not even uncomfortable with being gay! But the fact that they were actively sexual with each other made it very hard to believe their inability to look into each other’s eyes–even while in the act–and not ever realize for decades what they were to each other.

I don’t think it’s unfair to say these guys love each other from close to the moment they meet. There’s no “mates” type of magic, here: These two are literally the only ones who don’t know it. If, maybe, one of them was a real jerk and needed the time to suffer alone and learn empathy, ok. That’d be a story.

Or maybe one went into the military and was physically gone for years, ok. That’d be respectably serving his country and a story. Or maybe one needed time to throw off the yoke of oppression. Ok, that’d be a story, too. So, that could have been a story, but it wasn’t. What we have here is merely The author keeps them in bed or against the wall, as it may delightfully be to keep us reading, and the sex cardejo awesome, but there just isn’t real character development in the middle section of the book once a certain character puts his own father in his place.

It’s a tribute to C. It’s worth reading those parts–and you should buy it because it’s inexpensive and I want C. However, the truth is this dho a beautiful short story interminably stretched–like this review.

This story follows Caleb and Andrew from their early childhood over a period of about 20 years. They are very close friends and are each others ‘firsts’ and in some cases ‘only’s’ in everything.

They support each other through life’s ups and downs, with a lot of the story covering their failed relationships and in between friends-with-benefits sex as they look to find love. Tne is fairly obvious from the start that they should be looking towards each other. Their own statements back this up. You are more than enough in every possible way. I also struggled to understand Drew’s relationship with Drake.

The One Who Saves Me by Cardeno C – FictionDB

The attraction wasn’t obvious and his subsequent downward spinal and self-loathing just didn’t seem justified. However, the total romantic in me loved the happy ending!

One person found this helpful. What can I say? I love Cardeno C!! Always looking forward to another book and this one was no exception. The series is one of my favorite re-reads. It is fun seeing the savves from different sides and how their lives go around each other.

I always wondered about Drew in past books and now I finally know about the body mods. This story was so cute and frustrating all in one. You wanted to strangle both of them. I have to say I have never laughed so hard with how campy they could be. It ine great seeing Noah and Clarke, Nate and Jake well just a little of themDavid and Jonathan I highly recommend this book actually the whole series. You really need to read them in order to understand the characters because as I said the characters revolve around each other.

Can’t wait until the next book!!! Carxeno I liked about this story was the journey of Caleb and Andrew, from early teen-agers-awkward in regards to who they were to grown ups learning to deal with all that life handed them. Andrew was super smart and came from a privileged but disfunctional home. Caleb was “stocky” and very persnickety it how he dressed and acted. It was interesting oe read how their friendship developed into a touchstone for each of them.

I liked that no matter what they were always there for each other-ready and willing to lend a hand or shoulder-or “other” body part: This was not just a journey to love but a journey of self-discovery I really appreciated and enjoyed the story line the love they shared was really believable.

I was annoyed with Andrew not knowing that Caleb was his one and only. Andrew home life being a child genius being isolated from his peer group not fitting in was heartbreaking.

I enjoyed the development of the characters as they grew into men. Caleb charater truly lovingly gay and supporting Andrew in his transition to loving Caleb fully was beautiful. The sex was hot and not over done. I will reread this story again in the future.
